Forming just over two years ago, Day on Fire has made quite a mark on the Adelaide scene. The band have grown to share the stage with some amazing bands, including The White Room (Vic), Birds Of Tokyo (WA), The Hot Lies, Mere Theory, True Live (Vic), Mammal (Vic), Lazaro's Dog, Kid Courageous (NSW), Move To Strike, Stealing O'Neal (Vic), The City Riots, and Freestate (Vic) just to name a few. Their ability to perform as both a rock band and an acoustic band has captured them a large and diverse audience over the years, and demonstrate their capability as musicians and performers.
The band bring together a diverse range of musical tastes and styles, and their sound carries a mixture of alternative and melodic rock that is vocally driven, creating a live and dynamic performance that is pure energy and emotion.
2007 saw the band release their debut EP ‘The Only Way We’re Leaving Here is Together.’ Not afraid to try new things, the band expanded on their diversity, experimenting with different sounds, samples, and instrumental backing. The EP is available nationally through Greenmedia/MGM distribution.
Day on Fire has started writing for their second release, and have already road tested a few of the new songs which have had great responses from local crowds. Preproduction is underway, and the release is due later this year.
