Roaring straight outta Footscray are a new breed of dynamic musicians - A savvy six-piece, ready to make you dance uncontrollably; a tight, raw and excitable revue that has been mesmerizing audiences from Fitzroy to Yackandandah… and back again…and so on.
Building their foundations upon their ridiculously fun and epic live show; White Boyz Can’t Funk are out to prove…that, yes, they can funk, despite popular belief.
By infusing elements from the heyday of their Funk, Soul & Motown heroes, with their roots in Australian Pub-Rock, the Boyz have stumbled onto something big.
Worshipping the likes of Sly Stone, the Breakestra, JB and The Meters; their sound has gradually shifted to incorporate other aspects of Hip-Hop, Blues and Jamaican Popular Music.
Gigs? Yes they’ve gigged a bit, The Espy, Revolver, Bar Open, The Evelyn, Ding-Dong Lounge and much much more…Playing alongside local legends like: San Lazaro, SS Pecker, Little Red and iconic soul DJ - Vince Peach.
