Pony Girl

Raw Pieces Of Me

Emerging from the decade shelved Poetic writings of Perth’s Melissa Martin and the creative inspirations of working with Australian Producer Adam Round comes the debut EP from Pony Girl – “Raw Pieces of Me”.

With songs such as “Lightening Lights”, “Rain On Me” and “Take My Gun” all penned in the classic Rock styling immediate comparisons with the iconic Chrissy Hynde and Chrissy Amphlett come to mind. Not at all bad company to keep. However while respecting and paying tribute to the tradition of female rock, Pony Girl is determined to lay down her own path.

After working the haunts of the West side of Australia and laying down the tracks in Adam Round’s studio – the Lab, Pony Girl has landed in Melbourne serving up “Raw Pieces Of Me” in an acoustic format and supporting acts such as Brian Henry Hooper.

Having recorded “Raw Pieces of Me” with Adam Round  laying down the instrumentation on all tracks except Keys (Matt Andrews) and backing vocals (Clancy Jones),   the rumblings of a new Melbourne based band are now forming. If “Raw Pieces Of Me” is any indication, the Pony Girl express is set to bolt and the Australian live music scene will be all the richer.

Pony Girl – “Raw Pieces Of Me” promotional shows are being scheduled in the near future. Check out Pony Girls Myspace for details.
