A fast growing support base has seen the bands profile rise creating much hype throughout the Melbourne live music scene. Playing packed shows at the Commercial Club, and securing the much revered Monday Night Live Hip-Hop spot at the Evelyn has reinforced the success of this enigmatic live band. As with previous live performances the venues are consistently at capacity and the enthusiastic reception has been unanimous. Successful residencies and performances at The Evelyn, Cape Live, The Forum (supporting Royal crown Revue), FRL Festival (main stage), Commercial Club and many more have thrown SS Pecker into the Melbourne Hip Hop community's limelight once again. In March 2006 SS Pecker released their debut EP 'Livin It' to an absolutely packed house at The Evelyn on Brunswick St. This was followed by a heavy playing schedule including regular 'sell outs' at Cape Live and further gigs at Revolver, The Nash (Geelong) and a tour which including Adelaide, Tasmania and the East Coast.
Radio play is following the successful launch of the EP in each state with air time on PBS, RRR, The Pulse, Fresh FM, and many more. SS Pecker has most recently toured to South Australia, performing to a packed house at ‘The Crown and Sceptre Hotel’. In Melbourne their video ‘Yesterday’ (Due for Launch later this year) has been accepted into the finals of the SoundKilda Awards. (Australia’s music video awards). In the next couple of months look out for SS Pecker in Tasmania and Melbourne, Byron Bay, Coolum, Brisbane and Adelaide as they continue promoting the release of their EP.
