Gary Whelan is an acoustic performer based in the Central Goldfields Region of Victoria who is currently persuing his passion for writing and performing acoustic instrumental music.

Having worked in many bands over the years including session work and support work mainly as a bass player he is now enjoying being a solo acoustic artist. Although having no formal music tuition this has not stopped him interacting with a diverse range of musicians and musical genre. Gary uses various alternate tunings with little or no sound effects to create a pallet of sound.

eASNAdh his latest album reflects this. eASNAdh (pronounced AS-NA) literally means in Gaelic "musical sounds".
